Hullaw There Fellow Bears,

If the club was set up to cater for the VAST number of loyal bluenoses in the Middle East, how come only 21 of them are registered members of the site!!!

I remember getting the following list of email addresses from M.GIbson when Norrie was changing jobs. Can I suggest sending them all an email pointing them in the direction of  thedesertbears.com website.

Blue Bullet, Riyadh.

[Davie: I just did an edit to remove all of those email addresses in case the SPAM monster eats them]

Indeed - I'll leave that to George and the boys. I guess this is known as a 'soft launch'

But, feel free to tell all the blue noses about this place!!!

I have circulated the URL on the Abu Dhabi Bears newsletter. I will see them tomorrow night for the OF game and suggest they look and join.

I am delighted you guys from the provinces have signed on and got into the banter etc.

We only got the site up and running a week or so ago and the mail to everyone one only went out yesterday.

Membership of the site jumped from 10 to 30 in one day, which is fantastic, so we have made progress.

Now I have the updated email list I am going to be sending a couple of messages a week pushing people to sign in, so it is important that we get as much banter going on it as possible to show that it is a living thing.

However I agree that I don't understand why people view (in the numbers mentioned is great) but can't be bothered to register.

We have not had a meeting really this season due to holidays and fucking ramadan.

Hopefully once we get people together again we can push the website as the communications tool for Bears in the Middle East.

Regards,

George

If someone views the site prior to logging in, then they're still shown as a guest for 20 mins after logging in.  So if 50 people visit the site and then 40 of those register straight away then the site thinks we have we have 50 guests and 40 members online.

Also - don't forget to update your profile by clicking on your name in the top right corner of the page (hint: set your timezone!)
