06-25-2007, 8:05 sam_glasgoq Joined on 06-25-2007 Posts 9 Moving in July/August Hi folks, Hope the desert heat isn't ruining the summer for you all. I'm moving to Dubai for at least 6 months to try and get a job as an Analyst within any major organisation. I've looked through most recruitment sites etc but it's been difficult to get any interest so far. Does anyone know any site or the best way to get work over there? I've given my season ticket to a friend but would also like info on how I can keep up to date with matches etc. Hope to hear from you soon. Cheers Sam        Report

07-03-2007, 2:07 Stublue Joined on 04-04-2006 Glasgow-North Sea-Dubai Posts 4 Re: Moving in July/August Hi Sam, I am now back in the UK living but I still visit Dubai regularly.  To keep up to date with the matches, a lot of the guys meet up in Biggles bar at the Millenium Airport hotel in Garhoud.  Also on the last friday of the month, as many as possible try and meet up in there for a beer. A lot of the members are spread all over Dubai so many struggle to make it down to Garhoud because of the nightmare traffic but you should try and get yourself down. There will always be a few in to watch the games (especially the infamous Grant "Jakey" Douglas as he actually lives in Biggles!!! .  Games seem to be getting more frequently shown nowadays on Arab tv stations. As for work, then im afraid I cant help you with that situation but you could always try on british expats.com as they have a devoted site to the UAE and a Q & A section with regards to work.
