You know how sometimes you see someone and instinctively take a dislike to them? Well the first time I saw that Ruth Kelly (UK Education Minister) I took a dislike to her – it now transpires that in addition to being a bead rattler (which I didn’t know at the time) she is a member of Opus Dei and her Grandfather was an IRA member.
